The Beginning
MAISON began not as a business plan but as a question: where does someone go who wants furniture that will be inherited, not replaced? Who wants the chair that their grandchildren will argue over.
We started by seeking out the workshops — family-run, unhurried, unmoved by trend cycles. We built relationships first, catalogs second.
The Materials
We work exclusively with sustainably sourced hardwoods, natural textiles, and finishes that age gracefully. No veneers pretending to be solid. No foam that will be landfill in five years.
Every material we use gets more beautiful with time. That is not an accident — it is a founding commitment.
What We Stand For
FSC-certified hardwoods, natural upholstery, low-VOC finishes. Beautiful and responsible are not competing values.
Every joint, every finish, every decision is made by a person who cares. We only work with craftspeople who can explain their mistakes.
We edit ruthlessly. If a piece would look awkward in ten years, it is not in our collection. Trend-chasing is the enemy of good furniture.
